Black 1376
Edward III and his son, Edward the Black Prince, were riding high. After the Battle of Poitiers, they have the French King in captivity and the French Kingdom is in turmoil. But, for the English at least, all good things must come to an end. The second half of Edward’s reign will see a new French King, Charles V, recapture nearly all the territory lost to Edward apart from Calais.
Below I have posted a picture of Burgundian holdings around the time of the Hundred Years War for reference.
